Chips in an Air Fryer

Of course you can always buy frozen chips and heat them in the air fryer, but few things turn out as well as homemade air fryer chips - it also spares you the mess of a deep fat fryer. If you want a bit of extra texture and crunch, don't peel away the potato skin. If you want to use oil, you can either toss your chips in it and then drain the excess or use a cooking spray. Also make sure not to overfill the basket as it might result in unevenly cooked chips and make sure to shake the basket halfway through the cooking process. Why not also try making some sweet potato fries, the technique is the same.

How to cook chips in an air fryer:

  1. Cut your potato into evenly sized batons (or whichever shape you prefer) and soak in water and salt for about 30 minutes
  2. Dry off the potato and either toss in oil or spray the potato evenly with oil and spice as you prefer then put into the air fryer basket
  3. Cook in the air fryer at about 200 degrees for 15 minutes - shake the basket half way through
