Want to create a romantic and intimate Valentines Day that doesn't centre around all the extravagance some may be inclined to during this day. We're not saying don't fill your house with hearts and roses, we're just saying a little goes a long way. It is after all the thought that counts, just add a bit of spice.
A crowded restaurant on Valentine's Day isn't everyones cup of tea, but why not bring the restaurant vibe to your home. This is a great time to make an amazing three or four course meal for your significant other. There are some amazing recipes online, find something that fits your skill level and impress your SO, if you're feeling extra confident why not have a go at creating a Michelin style meal! Don't forget to create the restaurant ambience with a nice tablecloth, some candles and music, so you can have a nice slow dance after dessert.
If you're not up for cooking there's no shame in getting a nice takeout, or maybe do the "date night challenge" where you get a drink, an appetiser, a main and a dessert, the twist is that for every course you play rock, paper, scissor and the winner of the round gets to pick what you eat. A fun way to do Valentines day!
Who needs a fancy spa when you can have your own at-home version tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. All you need is a bathroom. If you have a bath tub then get some nice bath bombs or bath salts, put out some candles and get a glass of bubbly. How about some matching bathrobes just to make it a bit more special. Put on some romantic music and enjoy a relaxing evening, put on face masks and maybe end the evening with a massage.
As an added bonus why not make some chocolate dipped strawberries that you can feed each other in the tub. Who said Valentine's Day has to be all about glamour, we'll take a relaxing spa night over a fancy restaurant any day!
