When it comes to jewellery, gold and diamonds are usually solid bets for a guaranteed Valentine's gift. Finding something that your partner can wear daily, or on special occasions often makes for a heartwarming symbol of love, but you of course want to make sure to get something that is actually wearable.
Before buying make note of their style of jewellery. Is it simple, colourful, intricate do they ever wear necklaces or do they only wear rings? Then most importantly which metal do they prefer? If they only wear gold coloured jewellery, don't buy silver, they will not use it and it won't go with their current pieces, and vice versa. And although it may be tempting it is a big no, no to buy heart shaped jewellery(unless they specifically asked for it) if you want a symbol of love opt instead for a pink or red stone.
If the person you're buying for loves necklaces, then there are many styles to choose from. As of late pearls have become very trendy again, but with a bit of a modern take that incorporates beads or is layered with a neat chain. On that note layers are great, just make sure to check the lengths of the necklace so that they actually end up being layered.
Before buying earrings make note if the person actually has pierced ears or if they wear clip-ons, then check if they have several piercings, if this is the case then you can create some sweet and sentimental constellations of piercings that compliment each other and have a hidden meaning. You can for example choose a basic hoop that will be the main earring and then a smaller stud with something sweet on it, a heart would be ok in this case.
