Cheesecake Filled Easter Eggs

Easter has come and gone and we are left with piles of Easter treats (I will also admit to bulk buying the Easter candy that's on offer in the shops). But once the sugar coma sets in and you're not sure what to do with the 3 pounds of chocolate in your cupboard then take a look at some great and delicious ways to use up all your Easter sweets.

Filled Chocolate Eggs

This recipe has been trending on TikTok and it keeps me up at night with visions of its creamy goodness. As an added bonus to being delicious it's so easy to make!

Ingredients

  • Leftover Easter egg halves
  • 90g biscuits
  • 20g butter (melted)

For the filling

  • 200g Cream cheese
  • 100ml Double cream
  • 35g sugar
  • A flavouring extract of your choice

Instructions

  1. Crumble the biscuits and mix it up with the melted butter. Then leave it to cool.
  2. In the meantime whip your double cream until it becomes firm then add your cream cheese, sugar and flavouring and keep whipping until it's all mixed together and the batter is light and fluffy.
  3. Take your Easter egg half and place a few spoonfuls of the crumble mixture in the egg. Then either use a piping bag to top the crumble with your filling or simply spoon it into the egg.
  4. Finish off by adding your favourite topping and enjoy!
