Everything you need to know about the NEW Samsung Galaxy

Matilda Hansson

Yesterday Samsung revealed their latest generation of phones in form of three varieties of the Galaxy S21 along with some additional products! Take a look at all products and specifications down below!

The phones

Samsung introduced three version of the Galaxy S21, the standard one, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra. And although the first two did in fact see some improvement from earlier generations, they aren't ones to immediately dazzle the eye. Instead the star of the show is the Galaxy S21 Ultra which has been greatly enhanced. With S Pen support and dual telephoto lenses, the GalaxS21 Ultra packs in a number of features to stake its claim as Samsung's premier flagship. And it does this while costing $200 less than last year's Galaxy S20 Ultra. The other two models are also available at a lower price than the previous generation.

Galaxy S21 & S21Plus

When comparing the specs between the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus you might seem that most of the specs are similar. What separates the two models is mainly the size of the screen and the battery, both are undoubtedly bigger in S21 Plus. The S21 phones do however come in more colours than previous Samsung models. They are capable of utilising 5G, and with the new chips which Samsung claims to be their fastest one yet these phones are more powerful than their predecessors. The phone's also come with super fast wireless charging.

One thing that has seen a massive upgrade is the camera, the Galaxy S21 is

"Designed to revolutionise video and photography, with beyond cinematic 8K resolution so you can snap epic photos right out of video."

Galaxy S21 Ultra

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is undoubtedly the star of the S21 lineup. Just as with the other two versions, the Ultra comes with the new Galaxy chip, strong glass, and long-lasting battery. But the camera is the perhaps the most impressive feature of the this phone, it has a unique contour-cut camera which lets you capture cinematic 8K video and stills. It actually has five cameras, a 108MP sensor, two telephotos cameras, 100x zoom, 5G, up to 16GB of RAM and S Pen stylus support – with a 6.9-inch 120Hz Quad HD display. Samsung has also retooled the autofocus of its camera system and tweaked the specs and features for faster performance.

The S21 Ultra also comes in at a cheaper price than the last version it also has a different range of colours including the unique Phantom Black.

Other reveals

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro

The Galaxy Buds Pro are true wireless earbuds, with pro-grade technology for immersive sound. It has ANC which lets you seamlessly switch between noise canceling and fully adjustable ambient sound. Compare to the previous model there is improved sound and an added tiny woofer for better bass. They have motion tracking sensors and Dolby audio for 360 surround and they look very different quite different from the previous model.

Galaxy Smart Tag and Smart Tag Plus

This is a Bluetooth powered SmartTaga which you can attach to your keys, bags, or even the family pet. If you think your lost item is nearby but can’t quite find it, tap the ring button on your mobile and follow the familiar sound of your ringtone calling for you at the volume you set. The coin sized battery can last a month. It can also send signals to other users in the network.

There is also the even more sophisticated Galaxy Smart Tag Plus, which has a more advanced system with spacial accuracy and directional capability.

The Smart Tags will be available from January 25th and Pro will be available later this year.
