Three tips when buying a water toilet

The days of the classic toilet cleaner are numbered as many people are choosing a toilet without a flushing rim. The advantages of these models are quite clear – fewer edges and nooks means easier cleaning. The disadvantage may be that water may splash out during flushing in some models, which is never pleasant.

Speaking of cleaning, a wall-mounted toilet is good when it comes to cleaning the floor around the toilet, and it often gives your bathroom a more stylish look. Changing a floor-standing toilet yourself isn’t that difficult, but if you are going to install a wall-mounted toilet we recommend that you get help from a professional.

  • Save water. Installing a double flush button saves water when you’ve only done a number one. Check out Waterwise for more water saving tips when updating your toilet.
  • Clean it frequently. Brushing round the bowl and wiping the toilet with a damp cloth with a mild detergent should keep the toilet staying fresh. If you wait too long, you may require stronger cleaning agents to remove limescale deposits, which can also damage the enamel and in the long run reduce the toilet’s lifespan.
  • Install a water filter. If you have water that’s prone to leaving stains, it may be a good idea to install a filter for the same reasons as above.
