Thread count (TC) is an important factor to consider when choosing a duvet cover. It refers to the number of threads woven into each square inch of the fabric. Generally, the higher the thread count, the softer and more luxurious the fabric will feel. For a truly soft and comfortable experience, we recommend choosing a duvet cover with a thread count of at least 300.

In addition to the thread count, the weaving method also plays a role. For example, both percale and satin are made of cotton, but they’re woven in different ways – making satin softer and percale crisp.
