EPILATORS

FAQ

You use an epilator to remove hair in various areas of your body. It’s an electrical device that has multiple “mini” tweezers in it that pull out your hairs. It has a similar effect to waxing, as it removes the hair directly from the roots.

It’s recommended to exfoliate your skin before using an epilator, this can prevent painful and irritating ingrown hairs. Put the epilator at a 90-degree angle against your skin, this provides the best contact with your hairs. Make sure to not press it, but hold it gently against the area you’re working on. Stretch your skin with your other hand and run the epilator in short strokes in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Pretty much any hair on your body except for the hair on your head is good for an epilator. If you’re planning on using it on thicker hair like pubic hair or thick facial hair, it’s a good idea to invest in one that is specially designed for thicker hair.
