3 things to consider when buying an epilator

Most epilators can be used in wet conditions, like in the shower or bath. But double-check this before buying. Using an epilator during a shower can make the process less uncomfortable, so it’s nice to have a device that's waterproof.

When you start shopping for epilators, you'll notice that there's a wide range of prices available. This is mainly because of the accessories that come with them. So, it's best to decide in advance which body areas you want to epilate:

  • For legs, you can go for a basic epilator without extra attachments.

  • For underarms and bikini line, you'll need a smaller nozzle that's gentler. These areas have more sensitive skin.

  • Some epilators come with a facial brush for cleansing and massage – perfect for facial hair removal.

  • You can find epilators that include a rotating foot file for smooth feet.

There are 3 types of epilators: battery-powered, rechargeable, and corded. The rechargeable one is the most popular, and it's also safe to use in wet environments. But always double-check these specifications before you make a purchase.
