Three things to consider before buying a juice extractor

The size of the juice container: How big a juice container do you want the centrifugal juicer to have? In other words, how many glasses of juice do you want to make at once? There are models that can hold anything from 400–500 ml, to larger containers of at least 1.5 litres.

Size of the machine: The size of the machine often reflects the size of the juice container, but there are also models that are larger than others. In general, centrifugal juicers take up a lot of space, so if you live in a small space, it’s worth considering size when you’re shopping.

  • Power: How powerful does the centrifugal juicer need to be? If you want to be able to press harder vegetables, fruits, and root vegetables, we recommend that you choose a model with at least 600W.

  • Features: Are you looking for a simple centrifugal juicer, or do you want a model with extra features? There are centrifugal juicers with and without different speed selections, models that have cleaning programs, or that come equipped with a cable reel and cleaning brush.

  • Cleaning: Do you want to avoid washing up by hand? Then you should choose a centrifugal juicer with removable parts that are dishwasher-safe. Some models also come with integrated cleaning programs that can make cleaning much easier.

The easier the centrifuge is to use, the more likely that you will actually use it. Make sure you choose a model where the parts are easy to fit and remove, and above all easy to clean. Another tip is to choose a model that has a wide shoot and container for fruit/vegetables – then you can avoid having to cut everything into small pieces.
