| Description | The Danish film 'Hvidstengruppen II: The Left Behind' is the sequel to the audience success 'Hvidstengruppen' from 2012. The film begins where the predecessor ended. Same day. We follow Tulle Fiil and her sister Gerda Fiil, who are sentenced to the horrors of a German prison. Their father, brother and Tulle's husband have been executed. Tulle must leave her two-year-old child Gulle with Tulle's mother Gudrun. We follow Tulle and Gerda as prisoners of war down through the horrors of war in Germany, while Gudrun fights with everything she has to get her daughters home to the inn in Hvidsten. The film is a poignant dramatic tale of a family's unbearable loss and total division, where hope is all they have to hold on to.
