Diagnostic scales use a method called bioimpedance, a concept that is based on a small electric current being sent through your body. 3. Check how easy the scales are to use. Some products in this segment are as simple to use as traditional scales, while others require higher skill from their users.
4. Find out how much battery the scales use. Regular bathroom scales can last on the same battery for years, while the battery on diagnostic scales will run out way faster. The battery on average diagnostic scales should last for at least a year.
