Find your ideal scale:
For a simple weight reading, a standard digital scale is the way to go. There are plenty of design and color options available.
Diagnostic scales provide additional information on body fat, muscle mass, and heart rate. They come in a similar design and limited colours.
If you prefer an easy-to-use option that doesn't require battery replacements, an analogue scale might be the right choice for you.
If you go for a smart scale, you can choose between Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity. Both options log your weight and other data in an app, but the methods of transferring this information differ.
For Bluetooth, you need your phone and app open to add a new weigh-in.
Wi-Fi, on the other hand, uploads everything to the manufacturer's cloud service, which communicates with the app. You'll still need a phone nearby though.
Many smart scales communicate with an app. But, many apps have poor external communication and this can be frustrating if you use different products from various manufacturers. So check compatibility before purchasing.
