Diaper Pails

Diaper pails are available in all shapes and sizes. Choose the one that fits your family’s needs:

• If you’re always on top of taking the trash out and have a spare hand, a smaller diaper pail might be best for you. It can require more frequent inner bag changes, but it’s easier to manage and won’t take up too much space.
• If you’ve got several little ones in diapers, or you don’t take out the trash as often, go for a larger pail. Keep in mind though, larger pails tend to start smelling before they’re completely full.

Most diaper pails come with an inner bag or cartridge to trap odours and keep your home smelling fresh. Some are perfumed to mask odours and can be a bit overpowering. If you're sensitive to smells, it's best to avoid them.

There are diaper pails without cartridges that use standard plastic bags instead. They do a good job at trapping odours too, but they can be pricey.

The cartridges usually last a while, depending on the size of the pail, but it's important to remember that they're an ongoing expense. The main benefit of using the pail with the cartridge is that it keeps the pail clean and odour-free, so you won't have to clean it as often.
